Q: Welcome to Asgard,Simeon! I saw your fight with Klichko. Looked like Klichko took the top position pounding you down. Then suddenly he has tapped. Audience got confused and the arena went freezed. You have submitted him in a brriliant armbar in the pound. That was a cool job. Please tell us about your sports career since your childhood. What did you do before mma?
I did gymnastics when I was small. Then Shoutoukan Karate and MuayThai for 4 years before BJJ.
Q: Did you compete in Karate or Muaythai?
I had 4 fights in MuayThai.
Q: Pls tell your BJJ career. How many years are you training? The instructors and your belts.
I have been training BJJ for 4 years in Front Line and I have a purple belt. I rather had competed in Submission Wrestling. I won Gameness Cup 2005 Gold. 3rd in Grapplers Open Norway.
Q: How and why did you start mma?
Moving down to Oslo, training Muaythai they had a BJJ class in the same gym. The BJJ instructor Jan Tore asked me to try. Man, there I have experienced an incredible thing, you see. He has taken me down and submitted me that easy. That was the reason to be hooked(smile).
Q: How did you have contact to Hansen? What is your first impression to Hansen?
Training in Front Line I’ve started to compete in amateur Shooto. I wanted to become better. So I asked Marcus and Joachim to teach me. Joachim is a calm person with a very nice heart though I was a bit scared when I saw him first. ha! ha!
Q: Which is your best fight and why?
I think it was Lee Dickson fight. My weight was 81 and Dickson was 87 to 88kg. I took him down, passed and succeeded to take his back. But he is strong and fights back hard. He took me down and I had to fight back hard to finish him. In 2RD finally I could get his tapp in triangle. It was a really tough fight.
Q: What was the worst fight in your record? Why?
It must be Chas Jacuier fight. Taking down, mount and finished the game in G&P with referee stop. It was too easy. I didn’t learn anything from there.
Q: Which fighter were you impressed in your fight?
Must be Dickson. He was heavy but clever too. He chased me hard.
Q: Who is your icon in mma fighters?
Joachim Hansen, of course. His versatile style attracts me very much. Then number 2 is Fedor.
Q: What is your best memory in mma?
Humm, I like the moment after the hard training exhausted and chatting with mates in relaxed mode..
Q: What is your goal? Who do you want to fight?
By now I want to train hard to be more integrated fighter. I have nobody special want to fight.

Nice little interview
Simeon is a class act has always impresses me at UWC. Although you could argue he has not faced “top” class opposition, he has looked very good beating the guy in front of him
The fight against Dixon was very good and the way he beat Cliff Hall was very slick as well
