Third week at Team Quest. Now I am getting used to the heat and the dry air and the training is going much better especially min conditioning. Last weekend we went to Mexicali in Mexico Fernando Beau and Art was fighting everyone won their fight pretty easy. The level in Mexico is like it was in the beginning of the UFC and about 14 years ago in Europe.

Some guys that where fighting I don’t know where they found them, one guy he was walking around with a shaolin kung fu suit and he was wearing demon lenses. I have never ever seen something like that…… oh actually I have Joe Soon when I fought in G-string and make up that was worse. But if you compare these two Joe Soon was like BJ Penn compared to this Demon Kung Fu guy, The worst thing with this Demon man was when he entered the ring he was wearing a yellow body suit he really looked like a banana and when his friends was trying to get the banana suit of they could not get up the zipper and they stood there for about 3 min before they got it of him, I was laughing so much for at least 30 min i had pain in my stomach. There where some fights that where good though. The trip to Mexico was quite fun i have never been there before and the weather was really good about 120 degrees Fahrenheit it was really really hot and dry the wind felt like you open the oven it almost burns you. They had a swimming pool at the hotel so it was nice we spent alot of time in the pool. Mexacali seems like a pretty Americanized city and did not seem so poor I felt really safe walking the streets even at night if you compare to Rio de Janeiro Mexicali seems like a really calm city.

The training last week was as usual hard and really good. The guy at team quest are really lucky to so many good guys to training with and most of all they have Ryan and Heath that organizes everything all the time you really feel that it’s a professional gym.

There are too Europeans that are coming to train here at team quest Miko Rupponen a big Finish guy i have never seen him fight but i know that he is really good he fought Yamamiya from Pancrase and Valentijn Overeem from Holland. The other guy is from England and has fought in UFC his name is Jess Liaudin he is more my size so it’s going to be nice to have more sparring partners and English guy are normally very tough.

This Saturday we went to the ghetto Ingelwood and watched Joe and Fredrico fight. Both lost and I feel a little sorry for Joe he made a really bad fight but I admire him for taking that fight. He is a fulltime coach studies and has a wife and I now how little he trained for this fight, but that’s life sometimes it sucks but it goes on and you have to look forward.

I am trying to get a fight here in the US and it’s not so easy if you haven’t signed with some organization. I really hope I will get a fight because I am going crazy!
