I finally arrived in San Diego after my flight that supposed to take 20 hours but took 36 and I arrived one day late. All my flights were delayed about 3 hours and because of that i missed my last change i Phoenix and i had to sleep at the terminal. When i finally arrived in Ontario Heath Sims the owner of team quest in San Diego picked my up at the airport and from then everything has den very nice. Training at team quest is a wonderful experience they are very professional and this is what they do for a living and they do it very well. There is about 15 professional fighters that trains here and it’s a very nice atmosphere everybody support and help each other. They have everything you can wish for as a boxing trainer, kickboxing trainer, wrestling coaches, Bjj coaches and everything is high-level. They even have nutritionist coach and chiropractor at the academy and if it’s something you miss they arrange it for you. One of the best things with Team Quest is that they are very open minded everybody is welcome to train here ass long as you are not an asshole. They have a lot of good fighters coming here to train as Marcello Garcia Xande Ribeiro Frank Shamrock Maurice Smith Rani Yahira and a lot of other very good athletes.

Week nr 1:

My first week training here was not the best I hurt my neck it’s a old injury that comes and goes and I probably got if from the flight with US airways (witch i don’t recommend to anyone) Because of that I missed the opportunity to train with Frank Shamrock but i was there watching wich was quite fun. I also meet “The Outlaw” Dan Hardy he is also to train to prepare for his next fight in the Japanese Cage fighting event i think its called GMC, but he trains at legends MMA but he comes sometimes to train at Team Quest. I didn’t have a good impression of him because of the bad blood between him and my team mate Diego Gonzales but he turned out to be a very nice and humble fighter and I really liked him. I will probably go and train with him in England when I return to Europe.

Week nr 2:

Has just started today it’s Monday and I went to train in the morning 08.00 I did pads with Joe Sarkasian he is one of the stand up coaches here at Team Quest he is a very good coach he complains a lot that’s how it should be or else you don’t learn anything. I was training together with Thierry (who koed Arona and Minotoro) now I understand how he KOed them I don’t know what planet he is from because he kicks like a horse my left leg looks like the Swedish flag blue and yellow and he didn’t even use power when we trained. 15.00 is the official team training and today we did stand up mostly sparring. The training started with shadow boxing for 4 rounds then we did some technical drills and after that sparring and at the end some physical work out. Now i am going to get something to eat I’m starving then some rest and then I will go out and run.

Best regards Per
